(a) Each\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/definitions\/index.php?width=840&amp;height=800&amp;iframe=true&amp;def_id=8316e1efbe4ab2409028952c23f115a7&amp;term_occur=999&amp;term_src=Title:47:Chapter:I:Subchapter:D:Part:97:Subpart:B:97.119\">amateur station<\/a>, except a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/definitions\/index.php?width=840&amp;height=800&amp;iframe=true&amp;def_id=604b5c73b2b73eb8319fa08690143e8c&amp;term_occur=999&amp;term_src=Title:47:Chapter:I:Subchapter:D:Part:97:Subpart:B:97.119\">space station<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/definitions\/index.php?width=840&amp;height=800&amp;iframe=true&amp;def_id=4b2b67163a7b31aec9a054351140f4bb&amp;term_occur=999&amp;term_src=Title:47:Chapter:I:Subchapter:D:Part:97:Subpart:B:97.119\">telecommand station<\/a>, must transmit its assigned call sign on its transmitting channel at the end of each communication, and at least every 10 minutes during a communication, for the purpose of clearly making the source of the transmissions from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/definitions\/index.php?width=840&amp;height=800&amp;iframe=true&amp;def_id=26fa67e08a4fe2b7cddd3bb2b65d3575&amp;term_occur=999&amp;term_src=Title:47:Chapter:I:Subchapter:D:Part:97:Subpart:B:97.119\">station<\/a>\u00a0known to those receiving the transmissions.<\/li><li>Monitor the repeater before attempting to access the system. This is just in case someone else is in the middle of a conversation.<\/li><li>Don\u2019t break into a QSO unless you have something to add. Interrupting is impolite and interrupting without an ID is considered malicious and unlawful interference. Don\u2019t be a LID.<\/li><li>When breaking into an ongoing conversion use a [\u201c\u201cSINGLE\u201d break for comment\u201d], or your name [Buggs .. here!], or maybe the last few letters of your call followed by \u201cwith a comment or maybe just a \u201chere\u201d\u201d. Then wait to be recognized.<\/li><li>Please use the minimum power required to access the repeater.<\/li><li>Remember, there are many ears listening to this repeater so watch what is being said (language, subject, etc.).<\/li><li>Please, DO NOT KERCHUNK. Please feel free to key-up the repeater anytime you like but ID when you do so.<\/li><li>Do not quick key when responding to a transmission, wait for the courtesy tone and to allow anyone else to join in.<\/li><li>IN CASE OF EMERGENCY \u2013 During an existing QSO, Key-up and announce \u201cBREAK, BREAK, BREAK, Emergency traffic\u201d. Pause for a second to make sure you have the repeater, then continue with your emergency traffic.\u00a0 If the repeater is quiet, give your call followed by \u201cEmergency Traffic, any station\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>General Repeater Information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The W8JXN repeater is located at the Blackman Township Water Tower on W. Parnall Rd.<\/li><li>It is an Open repeater on 146.28\/88 with a PL of 100hz.<\/li><li>This repeater has a kerchunk filter so key-up for approximately 1 sec before transmitting.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The repeater has a dedicated NWS \u2013 NOAA weather receiver tied into the repeater that will trip whenever there is a weather event for the Jackson area.<\/li><li>The repeater has a set <strong><u>timeout of 3 minutes<\/u><\/strong>. So, keep your transmissions under 3 minutes to avoid timing out the repeater.<\/li><li>The repeater incorporates a courtesy tone following an un-key or incoming transmission drop. This also resets the 3-minute timer.&nbsp; PLEASE DO NOT QUICK KEY \u2026. PAUSE FOR A SECOND.<\/li><li>The repeater has a few user available functions that are listed below. These are DTMF accessible functions.
