Club meetings occur on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Tuesday of each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The premise of this presentation is to explain in simplified and down-to-earth fashion the electromagnetics of antennas while &#8220;tuning&#8221; the presentation toward the FCC pool questions for General and Extra Class exams. Given these uttermost basics of antenna electromagnetics, Wes will then move on to unmask the J-Pole antenna for what he really is: a dipole masquerading as a J-Pole antenna. Having this knowledge it is then possible to explore what attributes of the J-Pole can be manipulated to optimize its performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nature of the review will be with reference to the FCC amateur radio pool questions relating to antennas. Amateur radio licensed attendees who aspire to upgrade to General or Extra class licenses will therefore greatly benefit from this presentation.
