W8KM, Gary

Attached is a photo of me taken 2 years ago using one of my “boat anchor” stations in the Linc Cundall event sponsored by the AWA (Antique Wireless Association).  Although not a requirement, the idea behind the event is to get pre-1950 gear on the air.  For this event, I’m using a Collins 310B-1 exciter and a National HRO-5TA1 receiver, both circa 1947. In the background are two other newer “boat anchor” stations I have set up and use. The old equipment is more interesting to me than the new stuff, although I do have some modern gear I use.
